Accountability
Why Penta-H
In a market where the binding constraint is trust, these are the commitments we are prepared to put in writing.
The checklist
Six questions that separate a system from a sale
None of these are unfair questions. Ask them of us and of everyone else you are considering, and compare the answers rather than the headline prices.
| What to check | The answer you usually get | The answer we give in writing |
|---|---|---|
| Who signs the commissioning certificate? | A company stamp, with no individual named. | A named PEC licensed engineer on our payroll, licence 8101 (C3/E), verifiable with the Council. |
| Where does the battery come from? | Imported, with tier one cells claimed and no batch traceable. | Assembled by us. The company that builds the pack installs it and answers the phone in year four. |
| What is the cycle life measured against? | A bare number with no residual capacity threshold. | 6,000 or 8,000 cycles, both stated at 70 percent residual capacity. |
| Why is this quote cheaper than that one? | A headline price with no bill of materials to compare. | An itemised quotation down to cable gauge and protection devices, so the difference is visible. |
| Which inverters is the battery tested with? | Compatible with all hybrid inverters. | Eight named brands, tested in real installations, with the working settings documented. |
| Who do I call in year four? | The importer, if they are still trading. | Us. We designed it, installed it and built the pack. There is nobody in between. |
The real problem
The barrier to buying solar in Pakistan is not price
Published quotes for a 10 kW system in Lahore span from roughly PKR 750,000 to PKR 2,500,000. A buyer facing that spread is not trying to find the cheapest option. They are trying to work out which companies will still exist, and still answer the phone, in four years.
That distrust is well earned. Four FIRs were filed over a Rs 400 million solar fraud on Hall Road where advances were taken and the traders closed their shops. Refurbished panels are sold as new. Warranties are honoured by whoever imported the equipment, if they can be found.
We cannot fix the market. We can be specific about what we commit to, and put those commitments where you can hold us to them.
Our commitments
Three things we do that most competitors do not
A named engineer signs your certificate
Not a company stamp. A named PEC licensed engineer on our payroll, with a licence number you can check against the Pakistan Engineering Council register.
One company from cell to commissioning
We design the system, assemble the storage, install it and answer the warranty call. There is nobody in between to blame when something needs attention.
Two offices you can walk into
Bahria Town Lahore and Bosan Road Multan. Visit before you commit to anything. In this market that is a more meaningful check than any brochure.
Verify us
What to check before you sign with anyone
Apply these to us and to every company you are considering. The answers are more revealing than the quotation.
- Ask for the AEDB certificate number and category, then check what that category permits
- Ask for the PEC licence number of the engineer who will sign the work
- Ask who honours the battery warranty and where they are located
- Ask for an itemised bill of materials, not a headline price
- Ask to visit an installed system and speak to that customer
- Ask to visit the office
The questions worth asking anyone
Why are solar quotes in Pakistan so far apart?
How do I know a company will still exist in year four?
What does tier one cells actually mean on a battery listing?
Is a longer warranty a good signal?
What should I ask that I probably have not thought of?
Do you ever tell people not to buy?
What if I have already been sold a bad system?
Take this checklist to whoever else you are considering
We would rather you asked hard questions of everyone, including us. A buyer who checks certifications, cycle life thresholds and who honours the warranty tends to end up with a system that still works in year five.
